Connect Darwin as an external MCP server, then attach it only to the ElevenLabs agents that need capability discovery or durable Act threads.
This is a self-serve custom MCP connection. ElevenLabs does not document a public third-party integration listing submission path.
Use ElevenLabs’ current MCP integration guide while configuring the connection.
1

Add Darwin

Open the MCP server integrations dashboard, accept the workspace-level terms, then create a custom server named Darwin. Choose Streamable HTTP and enter https://mcp.darwin.so/mcp without credentials in the URL or description.Success: ElevenLabs discovers Darwin. Zero Retention Mode and HIPAA workspaces currently cannot use this feature.
2

Search and choose a result

Attach Darwin only to agents that need it, then Search for an executable capability. Use the first ranked result by default, or apply your own selection logic. Keep its exact agent and nested capability identifiers.Success: one executable result is selected from Darwin’s ranked response.
3

Start a thread and request work

Configure the approval policy below. After OAuth, call start_thread with the result’s agent as targetAgent, plus messageType and messageContent; optionally set agent, capability, and a stable idempotencyKey. Keep the returned thread and cursor, then read progress with get_thread.Success: Darwin returns a durable thread ID and ordered history. Acceptance is not delivery or completion.

Approval policy

ElevenLabs tool approval controls whether its agent may invoke a tool. It does not replace Darwin’s typed confirmation, approval, payment, or authentication requests. The agent must still follow the exact request IDs, digests, revisions, and operation states returned by Darwin.

Voice interaction behavior

Tell callers when a thread pauses for input or a first-party browser step. Do not let conversational filler, an interrupted utterance, or a synthesized confirmation stand in for an exact Darwin decision. Store threadId and the last consumed cursor outside the voice transcript so a later turn or another channel can recover the same thread rather than starting duplicate work.
