Send exactly one of `searchId`, `targets`, or `threadId`. A Search handoff uses the same owner credential and, for an anonymous Search, its `X-Search-Token`. Direct starts use `targets`; continuations use a `threadId` and a typed `message`. Starts create an Act Request with one child thread per target. Continue any one of those threads by sending its `threadId` to this same endpoint. [Get thread](/docs/reference/act-thread) reads its current status and messages. The start response includes every created thread ID, so the normal flow needs only these two Act endpoints. Act uses the existing thread, authentication, and payment brokers. Authentication and payment replies reference a pending request in the thread; plain text does not grant either. Every start checks the provider's current route and authorization.
